What is Aflote?
Aflote is one shared place for a family facing serious illness or recovery to organize practical help, appointments, key contacts, and updates. A family creates a Flote, shares one link, and lets friends and relatives choose how they can help.
Who can start a Flote?
You can start a Flote for someone you love or for yourself. You can also invite trusted family members or friends as admins so one person does not have to manage everything alone.
Is Aflote free?
Yes. The core tools, including organizing help, the shared calendar, updates, and key contacts, are free. You never have to upgrade to keep using them.
Can I choose who sees my Flote?
Yes. You choose whether your Flote is private or public. Every Flote starts private, and you can change that setting at any time. Only people you approve can see a private Flote; a public Flote is open to anyone with the link. Flotes are never indexed by external search engines, and your information is never sold to advertisers.
Do the people helping need an account or an app?
No app is required. Aflote works in a phone's browser, and most ways to help do not require an account.
How is Aflote different from a group text or spreadsheet?
A group text still leaves one person answering messages and matching offers to needs. A spreadsheet still needs someone to maintain it. On a Flote, your circle can claim specific help themselves while the plan, contacts, and updates stay together.
