We're dedicated to helping families facing a serious illness organize the help around them, so caregiving feels less overwhelming. Friends and family can show up in the ways that matter most, from visits and errands to rides, and your family keeps appointments, key contacts, and updates together in one central hub. Because no one should have to do this alone.
Hi, I'm Veronica, Co-Founder and CEO of Aflote.
Aflote was inspired by my own family's experience during one of the hardest times of our lives. When my dad was diagnosed with a rare cancer, we were completely unprepared for the maze that came next. We were overwhelmed by all of it: where to find the right resources, what to do, how to coordinate the friends and family who wanted to help, and how to be there for him through his illness while still keeping the rest of our lives going.
At the same time, I was planning my wedding, which we moved up so my dad could be there. What struck me most was the contrast. For the wedding, there were planners, checklists, registries, an entire industry built to make it easier. For my dad's illness, there was almost nothing. We were left to figure it all out on our own.
So I started Aflote to change that: a simple way for families to organize the help around them, so no one has to carry it all alone. It is the tool I wish we'd had.
