Is Aflote free?

Aflote is free to use. Creating and running a Flote costs nothing, and so does everything your support circle does on it.

If you are organizing a Flote

Creating your account and your Flote is free, and you never need to enter a payment card to use Aflote. The core tools are free too: organizing help, the shared calendar, updates and key contacts. You never have to upgrade to keep using them.

If you are supporting someone's Flote

Viewing a Flote, following it, joining the support circle and signing up to help are all free. If the Flote is private, you create an account to request access, and that is free as well.

Money you choose to give

Some families add ways to give, such as gift cards, a fund toward a specific cost, an Amazon list, or a link to their Venmo or GoFundMe. Giving is always optional, and it is never the price of being on the page.

When you do give, the money goes straight to the family or the store, not through Aflote. Aflote never sees or handles these payments, and it does not charge a fee or take a percentage of what you give.

The service you use to pay, like Venmo, GoFundMe or the gift card's store, sets its own prices and any fees. One thing worth knowing: Aflote is an Amazon Associate, so when you buy from a family's Amazon list, Amazon may pay Aflote a commission. It does not change what you pay.
